Omaha man acquitted of murder in 2024 faces new felony charges

A 21-year-old Omaha man previously acquitted of first-degree murder is being held on $250,000 bail after being charged with being an accessory to a felony and tampering with evidence. Marsavion Watson was found not guilty in 2024 of murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Derrick Hayes, Jr. Hayes was shot in the area of 52nd and Boyd Streets in North Omaha in September of 2022....
